Welcome to the
Embodied Collective

About Embodied Co.

At Embodied Collective, we believe in honouring the many seasons of being human — the seasons of growth, motherhood, rest, transformation and becoming. Our work is rooted in the belief that when we move with intention, breathe with awareness and connect with curiosity, we create space to live a more present, purposeful and deeply embodied life.

Through movement, education and community, we offer spaces that nurture the whole woman and support her wherever she may find herself on the journey.

Within our collective, two branches sit at the heart of what we do:

🌿 Embodied Co. Yoga – A sanctuary for movement, learning and connection. Through weekly yoga classes, workshops, seasonal retreats and the Embodied Co. Yoga Academy, we support students and teachers alike to deepen their practice, cultivate self-awareness and share yoga with authenticity and integrity.

🤍 Maiden Mama – Dedicated to supporting women through the sacred transition into motherhood and beyond. From preconception and pregnancy to postpartum and the evolving seasons of matrescence, Maiden Mama provides education, holistic support and community so that mothers feel informed, empowered and deeply held.

Together, these offerings reflect our belief that wellbeing is not something to achieve, but something to embody — one season, one breath and one step at a time.

Meet Renée

Hi, I’m Renee Murray, founder of Embodied Collective, yoga therapist, teacher trainer, postpartum doula, and mum of two little ones, Charlotte and Alfie, complete with out puppy - Jessie.

My own path to this work wasn’t straightforward. For more than 15 years, I lived with debilitating pain and was misdiagnosed with endometriosis. I was told I might never conceive naturally. That news, coupled with miscarriage and countless hospital visits, left me feeling disconnected from my body - and from hope.

When I discovered yoga, I didn’t come to it looking for answers. I came looking for relief. What I found was so much more. Through breath, movement, and self-inquiry, I began to trust my body again. I found the space to heal - not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually.

That personal transformation set me on a new path. I trained as a yoga teacher, then as a teacher trainer, and yoga therapist Then built a career sharing yoga with others around the world. But when I became a mother, everything shifted again.
Motherhood cracked me open - in the most beautiful and the most challenging ways. I experienced induction, NICU stays, diastasis recti, and the quiet, messy moments no one prepares you for. It made me passionate about supporting other women through this rite of passage - with honesty, compassion, and tools that truly help.

Embodied Collective grew from all of this - the teacher, the mother, the student, the seeker. It’s a space where aspiring yoga teachers can train with integrity and depth. It’s a space where mothers can find support, connection, and a reminder that they are not alone.

This isn’t just my work. It’s my life’s calling.

Our Mission

To empower every student, teacher, and mother who enters our space to trust their body, honour their journey, and cultivate tools for a life lived fully — grounded, curious, and connected.

Our Philosophy

We blend Eastern traditions with modern evidence-based practices, creating a balance between the sacred and the practical.
We believe yoga is for every body - and every stage of life.
We believe motherhood is a rite of passage that deserves support, reverence, and honest conversation. And we believe that when we each embody our own healing, we create ripples of change far beyond ourselves.
